The Event Post #3: Charlotte Tilbury Launch in Selfridges Birmingham

Team Tilbury in action!

How to get the ‘The Rock Chick’ look!
I am in love with the eye make up in ‘The Rebel’
Charlotte’s Magic Wheel!

Last week saw the launch of the new Charlotte Tilbury counter in Birmingham Selfridges. The hotly anticipated counter is only the second to be opened in the UK, after the brand launched in Oxford Street in September last year. I was lucky enough to head down to the bloggers event that was part of the launch and got to see Charlotte in action giving us the low down on her new range and what were the must have products.

First and foremost the counter looks AMAZING with an old hollywood feel complete with glamorous red and gold make up displays. Everything about it oozes luxury from the vanity table style spotlights to the magic wheel displaying all of Charlotte’s recommended looks (The Rock Chick and The Rebel being my personal favourites!).

The stand is split into easy to browse sections meaning you can quickly find any specific product or solution that you are looking for. It also has a wall of fame portraying all 10 of the colour coded looks found on the magic wheel, with every product needed to create that look displayed underneath.

We were taken around the stand and shown all the different sections whilst being given product demonstrations by Charlotte herself.

When it comes to luxury and indulgence the products themselves are no exception. Charlotte has created a stunning collection of cosmetics and skincare all dressed in the most gorgeous packaging adorned with some of her favourite quotes (I am such a quote fan). Some of my favourites from the range were the Magic Cream, Charlotte’s secret formula moisturiser, the Feline Flick, a fine liner pen to give the perfect winged eyeliner and the Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop blusher, a two step formula which gives your skin the perfect glow. I won’t go into detail about them all now as I will definitely be posting a separate review on some of these (that is if I can bring myself to take them out of the beautiful packaging!).

I had such a great time at the event and it was so nice to meet someone who is obviously so incredibly passionate about what she has created whilst also being ridiculously down to earth. I will definitely be heading back to the counter in the near future and keep your eyes peeled for some upcoming reviews on products I received in possibly the BEST event goodie bag ever.

Thank you Selfridges and Charlotte Tilbury for letting me come down.
