The Event Post #23: Mojitos and Fishtails at Harris Gibbs Salon

Last week I was invited down to the launch
of the new Harris Gibbs salon in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. Harris Gibbs is a really funky salon, inspired by the industrial history of Birmingham
with pipe work and exposed brick working together to give it an edgy and
authentic feel. Owners Chris and Alex both bring with them a wealth of industry
experience and some serious talent to their new venture.

During the launch we were treated to
styling demonstrations, product FAQs and even got to choose our own treatment
to be mixed up for us to take home while we sipped on Mojitos and tucked into
some delicious food from Lasan.

The Harris Gibbs team took us through what
the salon is all about, comfort and individuality, and showcased what a Harris Gibbs client can expect on their visit. My favourite look from the evening was
the fishtail plait created by stylist Chloe, using the backcombing technique
and texturising powder to give the plait a messy and full-bodied finish.

I really liked the vibe and look of the
salon and it is definitely somewhere I would recommend, not only to my friends,
but also to the bearded tattooed boy in my life who would love the laid back
alternative feel.

If you fancy trying out the salon they have
a great 3,2,1 offer where you can get 30% of your first visit, 20% off your
second and 10% off your third – get booking!
