|The lovely Dean V!|
I’ve always struggled to find a good hairdresser but in the past six months, two amazing salons have launched really close to my house. I’ve already told you all about the lovely Lindsey at Treat Me Suite, but today I want to introduce you to my new favourite duo, Dean Vinning and Dean Robertson who together own Sixth Sense in Sutton Coldfield. Sixth Sense‘s aim is simple – to create beautiful hairstyles delivered with the best customer service they can. For the Deans it’s not just about great hair, it’s about giving the customer an overall experience where they can feel comfortable, chill out and feel like they are just enjoying an afternoon gossiping and being pampered with one of their friends!
A few weeks ago my mum and I headed down to their launch party to hear a bit more about the brand and check out the new salon. We sipped on champagne and heard from the Sixth Sense team about their new look and what they hope to achieve in the next few months. They also talked us through some spring trends which include Balayage still being super on trend and pastel shades such as lilac and blue also coming through as popular choices for something a little bit different! To officially launch the new salon, Samia Ghadie (Corrie’s very own hairdresser, Maria!) also stopped by and posed for a few selfies.
Everyone who came down to the launch party was also lucky enough to get a complimentary blowdry at the salon so I headed down last week to test out the Deans magic skills for myself! As soon as I arrived I was greeted with a big hug, a cup of tea and a mini chocolate muffin from Dean V – I knew then that I was gonna love these guys! After a quick consultation about the kind of look I wanted, Dean got to work on creating my beautiful hollywood blowdry. He listened really carefully to what I wanted and then advised me that it would be best to keep my hair in pin curls for as long as possible and then dress it out just before I went out on the evening. As I was getting the train to London, he even did his best to make it look like I was rocking a 50s style up-do, rather than just having my hair in pins, which was such a lovely little touch! I absolutely loved the final look and it lasted ALL weekend, which was amazing!
But just like their mission statement, it wasn’t just about the super beautiful princess hair they gave me, it was about the whole experience – the salon is really slick and professional looking with screens everywhere showcasing their latest work and telling you more about the team and the atmosphere is one of the nicest salon environments I’ve been in. It’s really chatty and down to earth without having any kind of bitchy vibe – which is something I think you can find quite a lot in hairdressers! My mum has also been to visit the salon since the launch and she loved it too (you can see her review on Facebook here).
I genuinely loved my visit to Sixth Sense and I will definitely be back – big love to my new favourite Deans! If you fancy checking out the salon then you can get loads of offers from their website, including a new client offer which gives you 50% your first cut and finish. What are you waiting for?!
